Soil Health Bi-Monthly Community Call: Community Resourcing and Cohort Building
August 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
| FreeWe’re excited to invite you to this month’s Soil Health Call, part of our ongoing bimonthly series that brings together farmers, gardeners, researchers, and community organizers passionate about living soils and resilient food systems.
Following the momentum of our recent Indigenous Microorganism (IMO) workshop, we’re opening up a discussion on how we can build localized networks of mutual support. How do we move beyond individual practice and begin to share knowledge, materials, tools and microbes across our communities? How can we form ongoing cohorts that support one another in producing IMOs, biofertilizers, compost, and more?
Join us to:
- Reflect on takeaways from the IMO workshop
- Explore models for collaborative resource sharing
- Discuss forming microbe co-ops or fermentation hubs
- Identify existing networks and where support is most needed
- Dream up what’s possible when we pool knowledge and care
These calls are intended to be interactive, and your input helps shape the work ahead. Whether you’re just getting started or already leading community-based soil efforts, your voice is welcome. Growers, composters, educators, land stewards, and anyone working with soil and community are all invited.
Let’s cultivate more than microbes—let’s cultivate connection.
