2025 Northeast Luminary Tour
July 14 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
| $30 – $66The Northeast Luminary Tour is organized annually to bring innovative, in-person, interactive grazing resources to grazing farmers and farm service providers across the region. Organized by the New England Grazing Network (NEGN), the 2025 tour will feature Dale Strickler and Dr. Elizabeth Heilman of Regenerative Wisdom for a series of grazing workshops stretching from Freeport, ME to Ghent, NY in mid-July.
Dale Strickler is an internationally recognized agronomist, speaker and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in agronomy, pasture management, and soil and crop advising while working in academia as in private industry. Dr. Elizabeth Heilman is an ecology educator with over three decades of experience focused on the integration of human and ecosystem ecology with social and political contexts, focusing on soil health, water cycle restoration, local food systems, and community based regenerative practices for sustainable living.
The tour starts on July 12th in Maine, with stops in Vermont, and ends on July 18th at Hawthorne Valley Farm in Ghent, NY. Lunch is included with registration, and we anticipate a full day of grazing presentations on soil health, water cycles, warm season grasses, and the important work farmers engage in at the intersection of ecology/community/food systems. Tickets are available for farmers on a sliding-scale with a suggested price of $30, and available for non-farmers at ~$66.
